Q. Can I post a job online?

A. Yes, just go to the post a job page and complete the online form. You may find we will call you or make contact to fully assess the work or project you need quotes for.

Q. What is feedback?

A. Feedback is at the heart of the Tradesmen Connect service to communities. Quite simply, feedback is an evaluation of our members work carried out. Users can read previous feedback comments, view videos or photo’s of previous jobs, before they hire. More importantly, clients can add to a member's reputation and bring accountability to their project by posting feedback when the job is done.

Q. Can anyone give feedback?

A. Yes our members actively promote the use of feedback to both users of the site and any potential new clients.

Q. How does the feedback system work?

A. Feedback has two important elements: the past and the future. Before you decide which member to hire, you can look at past feedback to check them out. After you hire a member and the work is finished, you add to that feedback. This system rewards excellent service and punishes bad work. Your feedback closes the loop and gives the next customer valuable information about that member.

Q. When I give feedback is it displayed straight away on the web site?

A. No, our staff personally processes each customer feedback before it’s displayed. If the customer is not happy, we take up any dissatisfaction directly with them and the member prior to display. All members can respond to both positive and negative feedback which is then displayed within each feedback report received.

Q. How do you vet prospective members?

A. All Tradesmen Connect approved members belong to the National Trade Register, all members are required to complete our accreditation process. This includes a visit from our area or regional mangers to evaluate the prospective member’s suitability. Tradesmen Connect is not an advertising web site for anyone to sign up to, it is a service provided by members of the National Trade Register.

Q. Do you guarantee the quality of your members work?

A. Our members are independent businesses responsible for the work they each carry out. It is not possible for us to guarantee the quality of our members’ work. What we can guarantee is that Trade Connect members have been fully vetted and recommended. They pledge to uphold the National Trade Registers code of conduct. This keeps the rogue tradesmen away, the standard of work high, and each business accountable for its performance.
